Hallway Floor Tiling7 metre long hallway with 6 doorways and hall running off at an angle at one end. Transition strips inserted under the tiles take the hallway to other tiled and carpeted areas. Tiles are 150mm highly vitreous hard wearing ceramics providing the same wear as a quarry tile but with an attractive matt yellow with grey specs finish. A clean level finish was important as the floor is highlighted along its length by low level high power light emitting diode lamps. The adhesive and grout are flexible as the floor base is under-floor heating under screed. The floor tiling had to be assembled in sections to allow the owners movement around the house without walking outside through the garden.
